2. History of Israel

Twelve historical books comprise about one-sixth of a one year read-through of the Bible. While reading, put the background, theme, and outline of these books into your own words and memorize.. Historical dates given here are approximate.

JOSHUA

Background

During the time of the Judges an eyewitness records the events of Joshua, successor to Moses.

Background

Written shortly after the reign of David, perhaps using earlier records and eyewitness accounts. Samuels and Kings are a continuous record.
