Williamsport Area Computer Club Home Page

Thank you for wanting more information about the Club.
The purpose of the Williamsport Area Computer Club is to provide through its club meetings, Internet home pages, BBS forum and postings, email list, and IRC channel opportunities for people to share knowledge, experiences, and discussion of topics of interest to Club members and other local computer users. Also, to enhance the knowledge and interest in the Internet and World Wide Web, as well as software, hardware and sites related to it, and to promote educational and recreational aspects of computers in general.

Currently, the Club meets once a month, on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at 7:00 pm, in Lycoming College's Academic Center (on Mulberry Street), Williamsport, PA.
Meetings are free and open to the public.

Our Bylaws are online, the Club poster (.rtf format) is available for downloading, and our Club button is now ready for you to add to your own homepage! (New!)

We maintain a Club mailing list for informal email discussion, named "wacc-chat". You can subscribe to "wacc-chat" by sending a message to [email protected] with the word SUBSCRIBE in the subject. You can drop the list by sending a message to wacc-chat-r[email protected] with the word UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject.

There is also Club info and posting of minutes at the local Williamsport BBS: Lycoming Link - 321-6440. We maintain an IRC channel on Dalnet on Sunday and Tuesday evenings. Connect your IRC client to irc.dal.net and /join #wacc to join the Club channel. If you need more info about IRC or a program, here's a great source of IRC goodies.
