Meet The WKOK/WQKX Sales Professionals.
Marvin R. Benfer, C.R.M.C.
Vice-President/Sales
Marv is in his 26th year in the WKOK/WQKX Sales Department. He has been in charge of the sales effort for the past twenty years. Prior to joining S.B.C. Marv sold for Top Value Stamps and Breyer's Ice Cream. Marv is a native of the Central Susquehanna Valley. Marv has earned the coveted C.R.M.C. (Certified Radio Marketing Consultant) designation from the Radio Advertising Bureau.
Ronald Mackley, C.R.M.C.
Assistant Sales Manager
Ron is a native of the Waynesboro, Pennsylvania area who began his career at his "hometown" station, WAYZ. Ron worked both on the air and in sales at several other stations before joining the sales staff at WKOK/WQKX. He has been the Assistant Sales Manager for the past eight years. In the community, Ron is Vice-President of Sunbury Revitalization, Inc. and serves as Chairman of its Promotions Committee. Ron has also earned the coveted C.R.M.C. designation from the Radio Advertising Bureau.
Sandy Paul, C.R.M.C.
Senior Account Executive
Sandy is a native and life-long resident of Sunbury. Her father served two terms as Mayor and Sandy one term as City Comptroller. Sandy abandoned political employment to join the WKOK/WQKX sales staff fourteen years ago. She, too has earned C.R.M.C. status. Sandy is a member of the Sunbury Kiawanis Club.
Gayle Fedder, C.R.M.C.
Account Executive
Gayle has been with WKOK/WQKX for over two years now and has just earned C.R.M.C. status. In addition to her work here, Gayle is active on the Special Events and Membership Committees of the Central Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce. Gayle has a total of eight years broadcast sales experience, having started her career at stations in the Bloomsburg/Berwick area.
Valerie Staib
Account Executive
Valerie is a two year veteran of the WKOK/WQKX Sales Staff. After six months on the sales staff of a smaller station she joined us. She successfully balances her career here with the demands of parenting. In addition, she is a member of the Danville, Pennsylvania Rotary Club.
Michelle Parker
Account Executive
Prior to joining the sales staff at WKOK/WQKX, Michelle was a successful salesperson in the highly competitive health care field. She just completed her first year with WKOK/WQKX. Recently married, Michelle and her husband are busy renovating their 150 year old home.
Don Casteline
Account Executive
Don, a native of the Baltimore area, is a radio sales/programming veteran having spent several years on the sales staff of two Milton, Pennsylvania area radio stations. Don has also seen service as a news and sports reporter. In addition to his work here, Don does some announcing on a local, noncommercial religious station.
Rachel Zacharie
Account Executive
The newest member of our sales staff, Rachel came to us from Massachusetts where she sold office machines for Canon. While in college her major concentration was in marketing. She has been a very active community volunteer, working with both the United Way and the Amercian Heart Association. She enjoys photography, travel and outdoor activities.
