Michael Tschanz

Mike, a Colorado native, grew up with adventure in  his blood.  His experiences range from a 3-month expedition in the Australian Outback of Cape York to a self supported summit of 22,204’ Mt. Huscaran in Peru, to just about every opportunity his Colorado backyard can provide.  He is well versed in technical and downhill mountain biking, rock climbing, rappelling, whitewater rafting/kayaking, and a variety of other sports.  A certified EMT, he is the team’s medic as well as the primary for mountaineering and the designated “Morale Sustainment Officer” for his unending sense of humor.  Mike’s concept of duty is all consuming.  A Desert Storm veteran, he is currently serving as an Infantry Captain in the reserves and working as a Fire Fighter in Lakewood, CO - a perfect combination for his never ending pursuit of adventure.  In chasing his tough guy image, he has earned 2 gold medals and 2 silver medals in the Colorado State Police and Fire Fighter Games in the Toughest Competitor Alive Competition.
